Golden Globes 2014

I love the Golden Globes because I get to see all my favorite movie people and TV people dressing up and being awesome all in one place. While I was let down by Jennifer Lawrence's weird Ariel-wearing-a-sail outfit, she did make a great photobomb, and Tina/Amy's wonderfulness blinded me from any truly awful styling choices.

Here are my top 5 looks from the night:

Lupita Nyong'o in Ralph Lauren
Probably my favorite look of the night, Lupita absolutely killed it in Ralph Lauren. The color, the cape, the minimalistic styling. I gasped when I saw it.

Olivia Wilde in Gucci Premiere
It's no secret that I idealize Olivia Wilde in every way; her hair, her style, her interpretive dance skills, her choice of husband (the ever so lucky Jason Sudekis). This dress, which, I might add, perfectly hugs her baby bump, is just another part of Olivia Wilde for me to idealize.

Elizabeth Moss in J. Mendel
During the show I genuinely just continually repeated how much I loved Elizabeth Moss's dress. The color, the texture, it's all perfect. AND! She won best actress in a mini-series for her phenomenal show, Top of the Lake, and accepted her award in the most adorable way.

Cate Blanchett in Armani
Ever since I saw her in Givenchy Couture at the 2011 Oscars, I've admired Cate Blanchett's bold red carpet style. This Armani gown did not disappoint, with just the right amount of sheer and a high neck/low back combo, Cate looked as amazing as ever.

Finally, Tina Fey in Carolina Herrera and Amy Poehler in Stella McCartney
These two are just the best friends in the whole world and I desperately wish they would let me be best friends with them too. They also looked absolutely amazing in every one of their three gowns (and the one suit that Amy whipped out), but these two were my absolute favorite.
