Bottega Veneta's Resort '14 collection is beautiful to look at and comfortable to wear but what I find most interesting is the attention to detail and artisan crafting. There's a certain painterly quality in the wide, gestural dyeing of the fabrics and combined with the carefully laid lace the look develops a subtle complexity. Ignoring the kitten heels in the last two photos (dear god, who thought kitten heels were a good choice?!), the shoes are fantastic. The brogues and loafers add to the inexplicable elegance slash comfort of the outfits and just pull the entire look together so well. Plus check out that giant link collar necklace in the first shot!
